Onward To 2020

Hey there! Sorry I haven’t been using this blog space all too much (again), but I wanted to repeat something I did last year (tbh it will probably be annual now) and share some quick thoughts on 2019 and what there is to look forward to in 2020 in terms of content. In 2019, the following Let’s Plays were completed: BYE-BYE BOXBOY!, Pokémon X/Y, Splatoon 2, The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap and Luigi's Mansion.

Our current series, Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion, began about a week ago now and will be completed before I know it. I wanted to squeeze it in completely this year, but between Splatoon 2 and mid-way through The Minish Cap, there was a period of time where it was very sparse in terms of recording. Overall though, I’m extremely happy with how they turned out!

Nothing really changed in terms of Side Plays during 2019. Star Rush and Backyard Baseball ended fairly early in the year and the only other series in this genre (if I can even describe it that way) was Super Mario Maker 2, which clearly will carry into 2020. I have plans to bring back Backyard Baseball for a second “season” sometime within the year and want to do another Side Play, but right now I’m not so sure it can happen.

Now that 2019 reflections are out of the way, time to talk about 2020! My goal is for Demo Showcase and Free Play to become more common this year since they were mostly stagnant in the second half of 2019. As for the main point of the channel, Let’s Plays, I won’t outright tell you what will be coming up but I can provide clues which you should see below this block of text. Thanks for the support throughout 2019 and here’s to 2020!

Clues:

• A familiar series with a unique entry

• Different stories waiting to be told

• A crafty take on a beloved series

If you can guess what these are, tweet them to me @TheJamesRolls
